About/Sobre Desbandada
Desbandada surge de la necesidad de rescatar y unir las voces poéticas que, por diferentes motivos, emprendieron un camino alternativo lejos de su tierra natal.
Desbandada pretende ser el punto de encuentro, promoción y difusión del actual exilio poético del siglo XXI. La primera fase del proyecto consistirá en la creación de un boletín digital, que enviará regularmente a tu email un poema transterrado.
El proyecto nace con un pie en California y otro en México, de la mano de cuatro poetas españoles (Silvia Oviedo, Dani Herrera, Pablo Medel y Gonzalo Escarpa) que, desde su experiencia a ambos lados del Atlántico, consideraron necesario reunir a todas esas voces que, como las suyas, construyen su poesía desde la dualidad identitaria del desplazado (temporal o permanente), en una época global, diversa y multicultural, empujada ya hacia la inevitable desaparición de la escurridiza y polémica posmodernidad.

Desbandada originates from the necessity of rescuing and connecting the poetic voices that, for different reasons, undertook an alternative path far from their native land.
Desbandada seeks to become a meeting point and a vehicle for promotion and diffusion of the poetic exile in the 21st century. The first step is the creation digital newsletter that will deliver a poem from an expat author both in Spanish (or any other original language) and English regularly.
Desbandada starts with one foot in California and the other in Mexico, commanded by four poets from Spain (Silvia Oviedo, Dani Herrera, Pablo Medel, and Gonzalo Escarpa) who, based on their experience in both sides of the Atlantic, felt the need to bring together all those voices that, like themselves, build their poetry from the dualistic identity of the (temporary or permanent) expatriate in a diverse and multicultural era which seems to envisage the disappearance of the slippery and controversial postmodernity.
